Swedish Embassy in Chisinau inaugurated

The emabassy's inaugural ceremony was attended by Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt, ambassador of Sweden to Chisinau Ingrid Tersman, Moldova's Acting President Mihai Ghimpu and Foreign Minister Iurie Leanca, who cut the inauguration ribbon.

Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt said Moldova is an important partner of his country and the Swedish Government's decision to open an embassy in Chisinau proves this.

Ambassador of Sweden to Chisinau Ingrid Tersman said the opening of the embassy is an important stage in the relations between the two states, which will allow developing the bilateral dialogue in economy, education, culture and other important sectors.

In his turn, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Iurie Leanca said the Embassy of Sweden in Chisinau will politically contribute to the development of trade between the two countries and to a better understanding of the problems.

The Embassy of Sweden in Republic of Moldova is located on 12 Toma Ciorba street, Chisinau.
